LMM Monthly Meeting Minutes

Attendance - 24
Meal – Catfish Stew, Deer Sausage, Crackers, Ice Cream, Cake, Tea, and Water
Committee – Ronnie Fulmer, Earl Sease, Perry Bouknight, and Rodney Oswald

1. Henry brought the meeting to order.
2. Parker Boulware led devotions - The Seasons of Life
3. Mike Wadford introduced our speaker - Mary Ridgeway - She is the Deputy Director of Kalmia Gardens at Coker College.  Admission is free and guided tours are available.  Call ahead to make an appointment.  The garden is supported through donations and endowments.  Kalmia Gardens is hosting an oyster roast on March 21.  Visit http://www.coker.edu/kalmia or call 843-383-8145for additional information.  Mary also answered questions about gardening, lawn and shrubbery care.
4. March Birthdays are Larry Amick, Tom Wattenbarger, Jordan Friedrichs, and Owen Sease
5. Minutes were approved as read.
6. Earl Sease gave the Treasures Report - We have a balance of $439.06.
7. April 4, 2009 Saxe Gotha LMM is sponsoring a fishing tournament at Camp Kinard
   1. Fishing from the bank
   2. Registration is from 8:15am - 8:45am
   3. Lines in the water at 9:00am.
   4. Weigh in at 12:00pm
   5. Lunch at 12:45pm
   6. Cost to fish is $10.00 and includes lunch
   7. Cost for lunch only is $5.00

8. Wynne Price gave an update on the 5th annual chicken stew.
   1. March 15 - Turn unsold tickets and money in to Joel Price, Sr.
   2. March 21 - Meet at 7:00am to begin cooking chicken.
   3. March 22 - Meet at 8:00am to begin stirring pots.  Serving begins at 11:00am.
9. April 20 - Saxe Gotha Quarterly meeting hosted by Pisgah Lutheran Church
10. April 29 Committee of 100 Dinner
11. May 4 SCLMM Golf Tournament.
    1. Courses played are Lexington Country Club and Golden Hills
    2. Motion was made to sponsor one hole for either $100 or $125 and second.  Motion passed.  Cost of sponsorship and where to send the check will be provided to Earl Sease.
12. Mt. Hermon LMM to sponsor men's night out.  All men in church invited for food, fun, and fellowship.  Date and time to be determined.
